About the Client

The customer is a rapidly growing Asset Management Company (AMC) in India, building next-generation wealth and asset management platforms on AWS. The environment supports business-critical investment and portfolio management workloads and is governed by strict internal security policies and regulatory expectations.

Business Challenge

The AMC had deployed its core applications on AWS using a microservices-based architecture on Amazon EKS, along with managed databases, load balancers, and shared services under a centralized AWS Landing Zone.

However, due to regulatory requirements and internal CISO mandates, the organization:

  • Required centralized observability across infrastructure, Kubernetes, and applications
  • Needed a single-pane-of-glass view without exposing telemetry data outside AWS
  • Wanted to avoid high licensing and operational costs of external/ third-party monitoring platforms
  • Required observability to be tightly integrated with 24×7 managed operations

The customer engaged us as their AWS Managed Services Partner to design, operate, and continuously manage a secure, AWS-native observability platform.

Business Solution

As part of NuSummit’s ongoing AWS Managed Services engagement, we took complete ownership of observability design and day-to-day operations.

Key managed services delivered:

  • Observability Assessment and KPI Definition: Identified infrastructure, platform, and application KPIs aligned with business and operational requirements.
  • AWS Native Monitoring Stack: Implemented monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus (AMP), and Grafana.
  • Centralized Dashboards: Designed unified Grafana dashboards delivering real-time visibility across EKS clusters, microservices, databases, and AWS services.
  • Security-First Architecture: Ensured all metrics, logs, and telemetry remained within AWS, fully aligned with CISO and regulatory requirements.
  • Cost-Optimized Design: Eliminated dependency on third-party monitoring tools, significantly reducing licensing and long-term operational costs.

24×7 Managed Observability Operations

The observability platform is operated as part of NuSummit’s 24×7 AWS Managed Services:

  • Continuous monitoring of infrastructure and application health.
  • Automated alerting integrated with our ITSM platform for incident creation.
  • L1 and L2 support for investigation and resolution.
  • Continuous tuning of alerts, dashboards, and thresholds as workloads evolve.

Business Impact

Through NuSummit’s AWS Native Observability–Driven Managed Services, the AMC achieved:

  • Centralized Observability: Single-pane-of-glass visibility across AWS and Kubernetes workloads.
  • Stronger Security and Compliance: Full alignment with internal CISO policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Improved Operational Efficiency: Faster detection and resolution of issues through proactive monitoring.
  • Cost Savings: Avoided significant spend on third-party monitoring and APM tools
  • Scalable Monitoring Framework: Observability platform that scales seamlessly with business growth.

Outcome

By partnering with NuSummit for AWS Managed Services, the AMC established a secure, compliant, and fully AWS-native observability platform.

Today, the customer benefits from real-time visibility, proactive incident management, and centralized monitoring, while our 24×7 managed services team continuously operates and optimizes the observability stack, enabling the organization to scale confidently on AWS.
